Battle of Rama and Ravana, Ravana’s Death
After much fighting Shakra sends down his charioteer to aid
Rama in his fight against Ravana and retrieve Sita. Rama mounted the chariot
and was then attacked by Ravana. Ravana launched an attack with a rakshasa
weapon that spit flames at Rama. The flames turned into snakes that sought to
bite and inject venom into Rama. Thankfully Rama had a Garuda-weapon which is
helpful in fighting off Naga’s. Rama’s weapon changed into birds and devoured Ravana’s
attack. The gods descended and stood by Rama as he attacked. Rama’s attacks
pushed Ravana back and wounded him. Agastya came to Rama and told him if he
would worship the sun he would win. Rama did this and continued attacking with
his bow. He fired and arrow which but blew off one of Ravana’s ten heads. Where
one head fell another grew in its place. Rama then grabbed the weapon which
Brahma had created and attacked Ravana. Ravana died from this mortal wound to
his body, which cut him in two. After the fall of Ravana all the other rakshasa
flew away.
