The Divine Archer Part A
Rama had been told by his father to go with the hermit to
help him kill the Furies and Demons that had been bothering him. Rama and his
brothers gathered all their belongings and went along with him. Each took with
them a bow and arrows to defeat the mighty demons. On their journey they faced
one of the demons. The Divine Archer, Rama pulled back on his bow and fired at
the demon. The demon fell dead before the men. They continued their journey
with a new destination the Ganges. They stumbled upon the palace of Janak who
was looking for a suitor for his daughter. He wanted only the strongest among
the men, so he issued a challenge. The man that could pull back the bow he had
would be able to marry his daughter. While going for a walk Rama and his
brother walked through a garden. While in this garden he stumbled upon Sita. He
knew by her anklets that she was beautiful and someone he could truly fall in
love with. Upon seeing her he was sure of it and was obsessed with her. All the
heralds knew that Rama was the perfect suitor for her and that he should be the
one to marry her. He however was apprehensive. Thankfully with a push from the
hermit to go to the trial he stepped up to the bow. He pulled at the string
with all his might until it could hold no longer. The bow snapped in half and
let out a mighty roar that shook the earth. A large man jumped out from the
shadows and was furious with Rama for what he had done. He told Rama if he be a
true hero to pull on his bow of Vishnu. Rama did this and the celebration
commenced!
